SMF provides commercial mosquito control in Dallas-Fort Worth for venues, HOAs, resorts, farms and golf courses, releasing sterile male mosquitoes that don't bite. Wild females that mate with them lay eggs that don't hatch, so the mosquitoes that bite guests by day and at dusk decline at the source, with nothing applied that could affect guests, pets or pollinators. Programs run year-round and start with a free site assessment.
Programs by property type
Every property has its own pressure points. Pick yours for a page written about it.

Why properties choose sterile males
Your guests notice mosquitoes. They also notice fogging trucks, chemical smell and closed patios. Sterile males fix the first without causing the rest.
How it fits your operations
You won't need to change how the property runs. Our team adapts to your schedule.
What public programs have measured
Evidence for the method, not SMF's own results.
fewer wild females after six weeks, Harris County, Texas (related method).1
fewer adult mosquitoes in the first release phase, compared with an untreated island.2
fewer females in a California district: alone, and with larvicide stations.3

Questions from property teams
How soon will guests notice fewer mosquitoes?
You should start to feel the difference within 7 to 14 days, and it keeps improving from there. For a major event, start releases at least 4 weeks before.
Will it get rid of every mosquito on the property?
No. Releases reduce the Asian tiger and yellow fever mosquitoes that bite by day and at dusk. They don't affect night-biting mosquitoes, which are a different species. Your assessment shows which species you have.
Can it run alongside our current pest contractor?
Yes. Keep your general pest contract and drop only the adult mosquito spraying, which would kill our males too.
What does a program include for owners and boards?
A written assessment and release plan, then check-ins through the year, with updates you can forward as is.
